Career Services
The Career Services office at Cal Poly provides many resources including job listings and on-campus interviews; co-op, career, and summer positions; company networking sessions; career services' workshops; job fairs; and the opportunity to be included in resume books.
There is a career counselor specifically assigned to the College of Agriculture, contact Career Services to schedule an appointment. In addition we have a job and internship database, specifically for Cal Poly students: MustangJOBS. It is accessible through my.calpoly.edu.
Career Opportunities
A degree in Earth Science or Soil Science prepares graduates for a wide variety of career opportunities. Graduates frequently get job offers in the fields of agriculture production; environmental consulting; federal government; state, county, and city government; and education. Many students move on to split their time between field work, lab work, and office time.
